Katula Foundation Hosts First Annual Golf Outing

Not even an afternoon thundershower could have put a damper on the 1^st Annual Katula Golf Outing sponsored by MedHealth. As each player passed under the No Limits sign with 5 styling exotic cars including a Ferrari and a Rolls Royce, they were immediately greeted by Ravens cheerleaders, Allison Katula ( Matt’s wife and foundation co-founder), and several board members. After receiving a stuffed goody bag, and a tailored made Zero Restrictions vest, golfers enjoyed a nice lunch on the deck before taking off for the greens that the Women’s LPGA just played on the week prior.

“If I wasn’t a professional football player I would be a professional golfer – that’s how much I love the sport so it was a natural when deciding on our first fundraiser. I knew I could get behind the event 100% and I was very involved because I know the details of what makes a successful tournament,” says Katula. “I just want people to talk about this event and mark it on their calendars every year.”

The Tournament was a huge success and raised several thousand dollars for community-based sports programs. Matt and Allison are very grateful by all the golfers, teammates, sponsors, volunteers and board members who stepped up to the plate.. uhhhmmm tee.
